Two of the easiest fall 2026 updates are happening outside the outfit itself: funnel-neck outerwear is sharpening the silhouette, while animal-print accessories are giving neutral wardrobes a controlled hit of attitude.
The funnel neck changes the whole silhouette
Recent fall trend coverage has pushed funnel-neck jackets to the front of the outerwear conversation. The appeal is partly practical—the higher neckline works naturally in cooler weather—but the real visual effect is architectural. A funnel neck frames the face and creates a stronger vertical line than a standard lapel or collar.
It works particularly well in leather, technical fabric and structured wool.
