THE EDIT · COLOR REPORT

Electric blue and burgundy are two of fall 2026’s strongest colors, and together they create exactly the kind of expressive contrast the season is moving toward.
Blue gets louder, burgundy gets richer
Fall 2026 color is noticeably more confident. Electric blue has appeared across collections from Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander and Givenchy, while burgundy remains deeply embedded in the season through brands including Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton. Rather than treating both as accents, the freshest styling lets one dominate and uses the other as punctuation.
An electric-blue coat with a burgundy bag looks dramatic but still sophisticated because both colors have depth. A burgundy shoe under cobalt tailoring creates the same effect. Gold hardware warms the combination, while silver gives it a cooler, more graphic finish.
Use the watch to bridge the palette
Two-tone watches are particularly useful with strong color because they connect warm and cool accessories at once. The Annie Time Square Expansion Bracelet Watch is especially easy if you choose one of the colored dial options. The GUDI Open-Link Round Bracelet Watch works well when the outfit needs a lighter metallic line.
For a bolder gold finish, the NAIDU Sculpted Link Jewelry Watch can act almost like a bracelet against cobalt wool or a wine-red sleeve.
Strong color looks most luxurious when the silhouette stays simple.
Three color formulas
Blue-led: cobalt coat, black knit, burgundy bag, gold-tone watch. Burgundy-led: wine-red dress, dark brown shoe, electric-blue scarf and two-tone watch. Neutral-led: charcoal trousers, cream knit, blue outerwear and one burgundy accessory.
If you are cautious with color, keep the clothing neutral and introduce blue and burgundy through accessories. If you enjoy stronger dressing, let the coat or dress carry one color from head to toe and use the second only once. The result feels intentional rather than busy.
